We only collect personal data if you choose to create an account. Creating an account is optional and only required if you want to sync your preferences across devices.

If you create an account, we collect:

• Email address (used only for authentication and syncing your data)
• Notification preferences
• Topic subscriptions
• Your saved bookmarks (stories you choose to bookmark)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data only to provide and improve the App.

We use your information to:

• Authenticate your account via Supabase
• Sync your preferences across your devices
• Send notifications based on:
  • Your topics
  • Trending stories
• Improve app performance and fix issues
• Provide customer support when needed

We never:

• Sell your data
• Share your data with third-party advertisers
• Use your data for marketing purposes

3. How Notifications Work

If you enable notifications:

• The App checks for trending stories or matches with your subscribed topics
• Notifications are sent through your device's push service
• You can disable notifications at any time in the App
• No notifications are sent once your account is deleted or notifications are turned off

We do not use notification data to track you.

4. How Your Data Is Stored

We store your account information securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and industry-standard security.

We store:

• Your email
• Your preferences
• Your topic list
• Your bookmarks

We do not store any unnecessary personal data.

5. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time:

A. Via the App

1. Go to Profile / Settings
2. Tap Delete Account
3. Confirm the deletion

Your account and data are permanently deleted immediately.

B. Via Email Request

Email us at support@berranova.com using the same email as your account.

We will delete your account within 48 hours.

After deletion, your data cannot be recovered.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems.

We do not keep backups of user data after deletion.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services strictly for functionality:

Supabase

• Authentication
• Database storage
• Secure syncing across devices

Supabase does not use your data for advertising or marketing.

Apple / Google Push Notification Services

Used only to send notifications.

No other third-party services are used.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect information from children.
